Klein Collins grad Hamilton plays in TCU loss

Klein Collins High School graduate Veja Hamilton scored 10 points, but Texas Christian lost 85-79 at home to conference rival Oklahoma Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, the TCU website reported.

Hamilton also recorded three rebounds, one assist and a steal for the Horned Frogs, who are 7-7 on the season and 0-3 in conference.

Texas Christian's next game is 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Iowa State.

Hamilton is a freshman forward and guard for Texas Christian University. She is a 2012 graduate of Klein Collins High School, where she was a McDonald's All-American nominee. Hamilton was ranked the No. 18 overall rated wing in the country, according to ESPN/HoopGurlz. A four-star rated combo guard, she was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state list in March, scoring 2,228 points.
