Klein Collins grad Simpson plays in Missouri State loss
Klein Collins High School graduate Michael Simpson scored five points, but Missouri State lost 74-52 at home to conference rival Creighton Friday, Jan. 11, at JQH Arena in Springfield, Mo., the team'swebsite reported.
Simpson also recorded one rebound and a block for the Bears, who are 5-12 on the season and 3-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Missouri State's next game is 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at Indiana State.
Simpson is a freshman forward for Missouri State University. He is a 2012 graduate of Klein Collins High School in Spring where he was a two-time all-district selection and ranked No. 37 on the Greater Houston Top 150 Seniors List. An honors student with a 3.6 GPA he also played AAU ball for the elite Texas Pro squad scoring 1000 points. The Spring native is the son of Bob and Mary Anne Simpson.
