10 Spring runners complete 3M Half Marathon

Ten Spring athletes completed the 3M Half Marathon on Sunday, Jan. 13 in Austin.

The runners from Spring and their finishing times were Mark Cooke, 17, 1:18:54; Stephen Wren, 44, 1:35:00; Leslie Watts, 43, 1:41:07; Michael Huffine, 44, 1:43:46; Connor Cooke, 13, 1:45:08; Tammy Ninke, 37, 1:57:03; Christine Smith, 26, 2:08:12; Dustin Taylor, 38, 2:09:50; Justin Gordon, 36, 2:43:26; and Amy Mohs, 25, 3:47:22.

Race organizers said 4,998 runners finished the 13.1-mile race, which began and ended at Stonelake Boulevard.

Sammy Cheptoo, of San Antonio, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 1:06:05, while Kelly Williamson, of Austin, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 1:16:18.
