Klein Collins grad Hamilton plays in TCU loss

Klein Collins High School graduate Veja Hamilton scored 15 points as Texas Christian lost 58-50 to conference rival West Virginia on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at WVU Coliseum in Morgantown, W.Va., the TCU website reported.

Hamilton also recorded five rebounds and one assist for the Horned Frogs, who are 7-9 on the season and 0-5 in conference.

Hamilton is a freshman forward and guard for Texas Christian University. She is a 2012 graduate of Klein Collins High School, where she was a McDonald's All-American nominee. Hamilton was ranked the No. 18 overall rated wing in the country, according to ESPN/HoopGurlz. A four-star rated combo guard, she was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state list in March, scoring 2,228 points. Hamilton is from Spring.
