Stripes makes donation to March of Dimes
Stripes President and CEO Steve DeSutter, presents the donation to State March for Babies Director Texas Chapter, March of Dimes Toni Walton on Friday, Jan. 11.
Stripes convenience stores patrons donated more than $800,000 to the March of Dimes in December through the annual cutout campaign.
Shoppers purchased the March of Dimes cutouts for $1 each.
According to a March of Dimes release, $860,000 was raised in four weeks. That amount brings a total of $2.6 million donated by Stripes to the March of Dimes over the last five years. Stripes presented a check to the nonprofit organization reflecting this amount Friday, Jan. 11.
Stripes is at 22017 Kuykendahl Road, Spring.
The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. With chapters nationwide, the March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
