Spring Woods grad Whitty contributes to Schreiner victory
Spring Woods High School graduate John Whitty played for Schreiner University in its 103-91 win at home over conference rival Concordia Thursday, Jan. 17, at Edington Gymnasium in Kerrville, the Schreiner website reported.
Whitty helped the Mountaineers improve to 9-6 on the season and 6-5 in the American Southwest Conference.
Schreiner's next game is 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at home against Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Whitty is a freshman guard for Schreiner University. The Houston native is a 2012 graduate of Spring Woods High School.
