Klein Forest grad Gatson contributes to Sam Houston State victory
Klein Forest High School graduate Darius Gatson contributed one point to Sam Houston State University's 64-48 home win over conference rival Central Arkansas Thursday, Jan. 17, at Johnson Coliseum in Huntsville, the team's website reported.
Gatson also recorded two rebounds, four assists and a steal for the Bearkats, who improved to 11-6 on the season and 4-1 in the SLC.
Gatson is a senior guard for Sam Houston State University. The Houston native is a 2009 graduate of Klein Forest High School, where he earned academic all-conference honors. Before transferring to Sam Houston State University, he spent two years at Trinity Valley Community College, where he earned second team all-conference honors as a sophomore and honorable mention recognition as a freshman.
