Klein Collins grad Hamilton plays in Texas Christian loss
Klein Collins High School graduate Veja Hamilton score four points as Texas Christian University lost 57-54 at home to conference rival Kansas State Saturday, Jan. 19, at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, the TCU website reported.
Hamiliton also recorded four rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Horned Frogs, who are 7-10 on the season and 0-6 in the Big 12 Conference.
Texas Christian's next game is noon Sunday, Jan. 27 on the road against Texas Tech.
Hamilton is a freshman forward and guard for Texas Christian University. She is a 2012 graduate of Klein Collins High School, where she was a McDonald's All-American nominee. Hamilton was ranked the No. 18 overall rated wing in the country, according to ESPN/HoopGurlz. A four-star rated combo guard, she was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state list in March, scoring 2,228 points.
