Cy Lakes grad Smith contributes to Dillard victory

Cy Lakes High School graduate Brittany Smith played for Dillard University in a 59-53 win at home over conference rival Philander Smith College on Monday, Jan. 21, in New Orleans, the Dillard University website reported.

Smith helped the Bleu Devils improve to 5-14 on the season and 3-3 in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

The next game for Dillard is at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at home against Xavier.

Smith is a 5-foot-7 sophomore guard for Dillard University of New Orleans. The Houston native is a 2011 graduate of Spring High School.
