Spring Woods grad Whitty contributes to Schreiner victory

Spring Woods High School graduate John Whitty played for Schreiner University in its 65-54 win at home over conference rival Texas Lutheran Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Edington Gymnasium in Kerrville, the Schreiner website reported.

Whitty helped the Mountaineers improve to 10-9 on the season and 7-6 in the American Southwest Conference.

Schreiner's next game is 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 on the road against Hardin-Simmons University.

Whitty is a freshman guard for Schreiner University. The Houston native is a 2012 graduate of Spring Woods High School.
