Dekaney grad Nevitt plays in Texas Tech loss
Spring Dekaney High School graduate Shunta Nevitt played for Texas Tech University against conference rival Baylor University on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Ferrell Center in Waco, the Texas Tech website reported.
The freshman forward and the Lady Raiders are 18-7 on the season and 8-5 in the Southwest Conference.
Texas Tech's next game is 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at home against Texas.
Nevitt is a freshman forward for Texas Tech University. She is a 2012 graduate of Spring Dekaney High School in Houston, where she made the academic all-district team. The Houston native, a human sciences major, is the daughter of Octavius Nevitt and Mozell Frazier-Nevitt.
