Dekaney grad Durley contributes to Cincinnati victory
Spring Dekaney High School graduate Alexis Durley scored four points in the 54-52 home victory by University of Cincinnati over conference rival Marquette on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, the team's website reported.
Durley also recorded three rebounds, two assists and three steals for the Bearcats, who improved to 9-15 on the season and 1-10 in the Big East Conference.
Cincinnati's next game is 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 at St. John's.
Durley is a freshman guard for University of Cincinnati. The Houston native, a 2012 graduate of Spring Dekaney High School, was selected as athlete of the week by the Houston Chronicle during her sophomore year. During her senior year, Durley scored 856 points, had 467 assists and 407 steals. The health education major is the daughter of Adrien and Sharon Durley.
