Klein Collins grad Hamilton plays in TCU loss
Klein Collins High School graduate Veja Hamilton scored eight points, but Texas Christian University lost 76-75 at home to conference rival University of Kansas on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, the TCU website reported.
Hamilton also recorded nine rebounds and three assists for the Horned Frogs, who are 7-16 on the season and 0-12 in the Big 12 Conference.
Texas Christian's next game is 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Baylor.
Hamilton is a freshman forward and guard for Texas Christian University. She is a 2012 graduate of Klein Collins High School, where she was a McDonald's All-American nominee. Hamilton was ranked the No. 18 overall rated wing in the country, according to ESPN/HoopGurlz. A four-star rated combo guard, she was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state list in March, scoring 2,228 points.
