Klein Collins grad Hamilton contributes to TCU win
Klein Collins High School graduate Veja Hamilton scored two points for Texas Christian University in its 64-63 home win over Oklahoma State University on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, the TCU website reported.
The freshman guard also recorded seven rebounds and two assists for the Horned Frogs, who improved to 8-17 on the season.
Texas Christian's next game is 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at home against West Virginia University.
Hamilton is a 2012 graduate of Klein Collins High School, where she was a McDonald's All-American nominee. Hamilton was ranked the No. 18 overall rated wing in the country, according to ESPN/HoopGurlz. A four-star rated combo guard, she was named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state list in March, scoring 2,228 points. Hamilton is from Spring.
