Klein Oak grad Dominguez plays in McMurry loss
Klein Oak High School graduate Ana Dominguez scored four points for McMurry University in a 64-40 loss to Heartland Conference rival University of Texas of the Permian Basin in the team's last game of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 23 in Odessa, McMurry's website reported.
The freshman forward also had an assist and one rebound, as the War Hawks finished their regular season at 10-14, and 7-7 in the conference.
McMurry's next game is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at home against Newman University.
Dominguez is a freshman forward for McMurry University. A 2012 graduate of Klein Oak High School in Spring, she was a four-year letter winner for the Panthers and a three-time all-district selection. She also was selected academic all-district and was a member of the National Honors Society. The Spring native, a business major, is the daughter of Mike and Dawn Dominguez.
