15 Spring runners complete NBA All-Star Fit Run

Fifteen Spring athletes completed the NBA All-Star Fit Run on Feb. 16 in Houston.

The runners from Spring and their finishing times were Jacob Hubbs, 18, 22:35; Caleb Hubbs, 15, 25:18; Anthony Coleman, 36, 25:49; Deborah Hubbs, 45, 30:02; Karen Garcia, 26, 31:18; Adrienne Mynatt, 48, 31:32; Soledad Cabrera, 56, 36:11; David Fowles, 35, 38:13; Michael Velasquez, 30, 38:28; Amber Davis, 27, 39:07; Michelle Velasquez, 25, 42:32; Esteban Cabrera, 16, 46:08; Mario Cabrera, 46, 46:09; Lupe Gonzales, 27, 50:00; and Kim Colarusso, 54, 1:01:11.

Race organizers said 465 runners finished the 5K race, which began and ended at Discovery Green.

Eric Speer, of Texas, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 17:50, while Vanessa McGovern, of Houston, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 19:36.
